Where the Air Passes - Vase
$165.00
This sculptural ceramic form explores balance, restraint, and negative space. Shaped as a continuous ring, the piece invites the eye to move slowly—around the curve, across the surface, and through the open center. It invites you closer; it’s contemplative.
The glaze is a soft, milky white with organic dark mineral blooms that emerge and recede across the surface, like weather moving across stone. These markings are the result of layered glazing and kiln atmosphere—unpredictable, unrepeatable, and unique to this firing. Subtle variations in thickness and sheen catch light differently as you move around the piece, giving it a quiet sense of motion.
The opening at the center is intentional. It creates tension between mass and emptiness, grounding and release. The piece works as a standalone sculptural object, a meditative accent on a shelf or console, or as an anchor within a larger composition. This piece isn't meant to be rushed past and rewards pause.
